How?

Everywhere I go, people want to hear HOW the tent came to be. Here are parts of the story that made it happen...
After praying for "tent making" and having a vision, I began collecting materials. I haven't purchased much for the tent, just a can of stain and some supplies for prayer stations. I am trying to be faithful with what God has entrusted me with.

The lumber came from an excess order of materials at a cabinet shop I was working for. When asked, my supervisor said, "I don't know what we'll use that lumber for. It is extra and taking up space." I knew exactly what we would be using it for!
The metal brackets came from excess material in the welding shop. One of the welders explained to me that for some reason he has a 12" piece left over from all the long pieces he was cutting. When I explained that is the exact size I need to hold the lumber, he agreed to teach me how to weld and helped me put it together while I got share about Jesus' death for us on the cross.
The canvas arrived while I was on a mission trip to Cuba in 2016. A friend called my wife and said, "I have a truckload of stuff for Jason." When he explained it was the canvas for the tent, Karen said to bring it to the house and the garage was quickly filled.
Not knowing how to sew thick, commercial-grade canvas, I spoke with my brother-in-law who works with sail boats. He explained that he has access to commercial-grade sewing machines and would be willing to make the top and sides if given measurements. Once the frame was constructed, the measurements were given. It fits like a glove!
In July 2016, my family and I moved to Georgia. When pulling into our rental house for the first time, there were a pile of metal poles laying in the driveway. I knew right away, one of those would go on top of the cross to hold the canvas up. When I drilled the hole into the top of the cross, it fit perfectly.
Fall of 2017, while participating in revival services in Williamsburg, VA, an acquaintance approached me and said, "I think I have a box truck to give to you." I happily accepted this older box truck with only 17,000 miles on it!
When moving my family back to Virginia in July 2018, the rental truck we got to move our furniture was filled with thick, sturdy blankets that the previous renter left inside. The rental truck associate begged me to take them, because if his supervisor found them, he would get in trouble. I had no problem helping him out as I have to wrap and move all the tent and prayer station pieces without damaging them.

If YOU have a testimony about how the prayer tent has effected your life, please let me know!
